The AquaPlus Inline Water Filter by Aqua Plus Filtration is manufactured in New South Wales and delivers great tasting water into your caravan, camper, or outback RV.
The filter is 100% GAC / Silver Safe and offers a life expectancy of 6 months or 2,500GL. Aqua Plus suggests you flush the unit 5 minutes before each use. We tend to do this before every trip, just to clear out any debris or contaminates.
The operational pressure and temperature are 125psi and 60oc, while the maximum flow is 0.75GPM. The filter comes with two quick connect hose fittings that were easy to use. Just make sure you follow the flow direction marked on the filter cartridge itself.
Aqua Plus Inline Water Filter – Our Findings
We used the Aqua Plus Inline Water Filter on a recent beachside holiday where, according to other travelers, water quality was below par. Setting up the filter took seconds and within 5 minutes we were drinking freshly purified water from the local tap.
Knowing the quality of the filter is so high gave my family and I peace of mind. My daughter is especially prone to infections and I am immuno-comprimised with chemotherapy medication. Neither of us can risk being ill due to poor water quality. For us, a water filter is a life-saver.
As a trial, we also tried the water filter at home, using our town water source as a comparison. Water from Mackay’s Nebo Road Water Treatment Plant was voted Queensland’s best tasting tap water in 2018 and water from the Marian Water Treatment Plant was voted best tasting tap water in Queensland and Australia in 2019 and second best in the world in 2020.
The big question was “Could we taste the difference?”
The answer was a resounding YES. There was a spring water freshness that the filter added which was remarkable.
Conclusion
Would we buy another Aqua Plus Inline Water Filter in 6 months? Absolutely! We rely on staying healthy and love being active in the community. February 8, 2022 at 11:19 amAs an ‘Australian Made’ buyer, I look for the information that tells me it’s actually an Australian product.
If this product is ‘manufactured in New South Wales’, why is the flow measured in GPM and certified by NSF – which is an American testing service? Please be careful when implying that a product is manufactured in Australia!
Installing a set of imported fittings onto an imported product does not make it a ‘manufactured’ product!
